MY FAMTOUR EXPERIENCE WITH TRAVEL AGENTS:)

FAMTOUR EXPERIENCE (BYAHE TA MINDANAO)

Last Feb. 2010 I got the chance to have a free tour or what we call the Famtour (Familiarization Tour) with my co travel agents from different travel agencies here in Davao City and some Medias also here in Mindanao hosted by the Mindanao Tourism Council, Davao Council of Travel & Tours and Allied Agencies. This tour gave me the chance to discover more about Mindanao. We had a land trip from Davao to Dipolog City and Dapitan. We were invited by the Mindanao Tourism Council to to visit Dipolog City and help them promote their place. As what I've seen, the area was already developed by the government and there also new tourist destinations that will also be a good additional spot for tourists visiting Mindanao. We also went to their theme park called Gloria de Dpaitan FantasyLand. it's like a mini local Disney Land in Mindanao located at Sunset Boulevard, Dawo in Dapitan. You can visit their website and check their amenities and rates. http://fantasylandtours.com/.

Who will not ever know abot DAKAK BEACH RESORT in Dapitan City in Zamboanga del Norte owned by the famous politician Jalosjos. It is known to be categorized as a 5star resort in Mindanao. The beach was known for its powdery white sand on the beach and Its natural spring water flowing in their pools.

This is one of the best beach resort that I ever visited. The accommodation is so luxurious I just and the food was great we had our breakfast in buffet with lots of food choices.and free flowing of drinks. It is a must visit place in Zamboanga. It is safe and nice place to relax with your love ones.

Learnings in ICT4 WWW

In this subject ICT4 Internet and Worldwide Web I have learned the history of Internet and it is the collection of networks, server and gateways using computers, before it is called "ARPANET" and was established on year 1969 using 4 computers using phone lines and has been used by the universities on year 1972. E-mail or the Electronic mail is the most efficient and easy way to recieve and send many recipients. Chat is also been used for connecting people through sending personal messages directly to the person and exchanging of messages in online at present time.  The famous social networks nowadays which are the Facebook a social network founded by Mark Zuckerberg a college Sophomore student who is an American computer programmer in Harvard University ,it also contains chat, photosharing, and even check in. Twitter created 2006 founded by Jack Dorsey it is also a social network that can read and send text message with 140 characters. Instagram is a free photo sharing social network launched on Oct.2010  and the famous search engine google founded by Larry Page and became the most popular search engine, I also got the chance to know more about Worldwide web which is the cross platform that is use to link with other networks worldwide.  And creating my own account in Gmail and Google+ I found out that this is a very useful tool in starting up your own blog because if you are registered at  Gmail it will automatically register to Google+ and Blogger.com. Before, I never imagined that I can make a blog or even creating something like this because I thought it is very difficult to do, but the good thing is that our instructor Ms. Sarah Jean http://allhonestreviews.blogspot.com/  introduced us the easy way to make a blog. She also gave me the chance to apply all my knowledge about ICT from 1 to 4. My blog shows also all my knowledge and learning in the IT subjects.

This subject would really help me a lot in my field of Travel Management. This could be one of my stepping stone in reaching my goal to be known worldwide as a travel consultant, since I'm also working as a Travel Agent. This will also help me promote our travel promotions and services offered in our office. and I'm hoping that this will lead me to my future dream of becoming a successful travel expert.

My 1st Ever Helicopter Ride

HELICOPTER ENCOUNTER

It was March of 2012 when one of the Senators of JCI Junior Chamber International offered our group to have a free ride in a chopper, I immediately accept the offer since it was my 1st time ever ride in a helicopter. We have it early morning of the day around 8am. I didn't eat full breakfast at that time because I was afraid that I might vomit. In order for us to take the ride 1st we need to sign a waiver stating that if ever something happened to us they are not liable for it. I didn't asked permission to my mother because I know she will not allow me because it's dangerous. We used the Rescue helicopter owned by the Air Force Davao. It really need to take a lot of courage with this experience because it is very dangerous yet very enjoy also. I also got the chance to see Davao in an overlooking view, the pilot tour us around whole Samal island Talikod, Igacos, Pearlfarm and Davao City specifically in Bajada, Lanang, Sasa, Buhangin, Cabantian area.

My Own Preview about the film "The Pirates of the Silicone Valley"

The Pirates of The Silicone Valley

The Pirates of the Silicone Valley is a documentary film about the people involved and who made the famous companies the Apple & Microsoft. This was a about the normal people Steve Jobs and his colleague Steve Wozniak who struggled from their college life researching and experimenting new innovations that could help them build their dream to be in the world of technology. Bill Gates who became the wealthiest person during 1995 to 2009. he is the man behind the great success of Microsoft was then amazed during the time when Steve Jobs made the Lisa's Computer, a computer named after the daughter of Steve Jobs and the Makintosh. They also attempt to compare the two companies Apple & Microsoft with the firms operations and differences.

So the movie ends with Steve Jobs returning to Apple, after its acquisition of the next computer and Bill Gates appearing via satellite at MacWorld Expo in 1997 during the Job's first keynote address, to announce an alliance between Apple and Microsoft.

Lake Agco Escapade

LAKE AGCO (Ilomavis, Kidapawan City)

This place is at the foot of Mt. Apo, It was a hidden spring mountain resort located at Brangay Ilomavis in Kidapawan City, which is 2hours drive from Davao City using a private vehicle. You can also ride a van, the terminal is at SM Ecoland for Php 180 fare. In going to the resort you can take the "habal-habal" (motorcycle ride). The entrance fee is PHP 20 for daytour and PHP 30 for overnight. If with open cottage PHP 100 for daytour and PHP 150 for overnight.

As you can see the water is not clear   literally it's color BROWN, but it's not dirty, it is a natural spring and it is therapeutic. The natural heat that came from the volcano's vent.

Lake Agco is also known for its sulfuric mud that can be use as a therapy to the body. It can release stress and can even beautify your skin, so most tourists go there and even put some mud on their whole body. Even I tried it and put some on my face and body. Then rinsed it with their spring water. In fairness it actually gave me a relaxing feeling after.

They also have pools for guests who don't like to take the mudspring and hotspring. The water of the pool is very cold and considered to be one of the most cold spring water here in Mindanao. You can actually see smoke when you talk because it very cold. And as part of their earnings also in their place there are some vendors outside the resort who are selling souvenir items and even hena tatoo painting for about PHP 50. You will surely enjoy this place especially with your family.
